went back to model drawing sums today
finished about 8 questions after much nagging and hard work
guess Ron was rather tired today -- first time heard him say that he was tired
and i too became restless soon after
he had this gun and rubberband thingy which distracted him
so i just kept calling his name until he listened which works -- but i ended up being very thirsty
same problems again associated with model-drawing , Ron didnt even try and just give up saying he dunno how to do
as our theme for E&C goes "it takes only a spark..." i provided him with one and helped him get started and assisted him with the rest of the model-drawings
still found it especially hard to teach when he's not focused and i realised how smooth-sailing tutoring has gone for me for all these time teaching Ron
however today, i was shocked that he actually asked me to provide him with the workings without the answer so that he could copy
obviously i did not comply ...
Ron was aware that i shouldnt write on his book, so everytime (for the first time today) he told me out of laziness that 'dont need draw (model) one" i said "ok i draw for you" and he would be hesistant, or even afraid of punishment -- then he would rather draw himself
must say that the problem sums were not easy, with 7 out of the 8 being star questions
would be quite hard to solve without drawing models and some flexibility in imagination
thus the outcome was still quite good -- for me still
yet i wonder whether Ron would be able to solve them by himself if the questions were to appear again -- i think not
was quite a fruitful day
told Ron jokes to keep him interested -- should prepare more simple jokes as i was pratically telling him one for every question
observed too, that i have never played games with any of the kids there even after so many visits :{
before the 8 problem sums, we also went through some corrections regarding money problems
all were careless mistakes made during subtraction and addition
-- would come up with some interesing ways (such as beryls' colourful stones) to engage Roydenn
